Before you get swinging, let's go through some tips and tricks for optimal setup and swing collection with you SwingTracker!
Making Contact:
Your SwingTracker needs to detect an impact in order to record the swing. So when swinging in any games and sessions make sure to make contact with a ball!
We recommend hitting a real baseball or softball. Tennis balls, Wiffle Balls, and foam balls of any kind may make it difficult for the SwingTracker to detect the swings since these balls can be too soft to register bat impact and vibration.
Swing Setup:
To ensure that you have the best data collecting experience, make sure that your Apple Device is located within 5-10 Feet of the hitter. If you are putting it a bit further away, try to keep it up, off the ground to maximize BlueTooth range.
While you can record data by taking Soft Toss, Front Toss or Batting Practice swings, the SwingTracker is best utilized with Tee work.
Sensor Setup:
Always make sure that your sensor is facing the correct way on the bat, you should see the green blinking light!
